Leishmaniasis, a seriously harmful disease found in little, sand-fly like, insects. These insects are related to the sand-fly. Sad to say, in many countries, in the old world and the new, this disfiguring and potentially fatal disease can be found. Not a single disease, but instead, a group of syndrome due to a variety of species of this parasite. Asymptomatic infections, significant illness and even death, are the areas from which this disease can range.
