Despite the large savings that one will have once he/she gets his/her operation done in places abroad, most insurers still find it uneasy to send their policy holders there, so the burden of paying for the bills lie on the patients.

These insurers may have some credible reason to do so. For one, they aren't sure about the reliability of medical firms abroad.
